Export your expenses to FreshBooks

Automate your client invoicing with FreshBooks & ExpenseCloud. Each time you generate a list of client expenses in ExpenseCloud, you can export them into FreshBooks and drop them directly into a clients invoice.

After your clients have been invoiced, you can setup automatic payments, digital billing, and accept online payments all within FreshBooks. Allowing you to automate the entire process from expense to reimbursement. Not receiving payments on time? Don’t worry, FreshBooks will automatically send payment reminders and keep track of which clients are behind on their bills.

Getting Started

To access the FreshBooks integration, you will need to sign-up for an ExpenseCloud Pro account and a FreshBooks account.

How do I setup ExpenseCloud with my FreshBooks account?

To setup your ExpenseCloud account with FreshBooks, take the following steps:

  1. Login to your ExpenseCloud account.
  2. Click on the Settings button in the top right corner of your screen.
  3. Click on the Report Settings section, and then the Add New button.
  4. Select the FreshBooks checkbox and click the Next button.
  5. Enter your FreshBooks email, API URL and Authentication Token from your FreshBooks account, and click the Save button.

You should now be setup to send your expense reports to FreshBooks.


How do I export ExpenseCloud expenses to FreshBooks?

You can export expenses to FreshBooks by submitting an expense report from ExpenseCloud. You will need to create expenses and an expense report before doing so. Take the following steps to export expenses to FreshBooks:

  1. In ExpenseCloud, create an expense report from your expenses.
  2. In the Reports section, click on the expense report you want to submit.
  3. In the 'Submitted reports are sent to:' drop-down, select FreshBooks.
  4. Click the Submit button to finalize the report and send your expenses to FreshBooks.
